"The photographs in this Zine were taken on my daily walks during the 1st and 2nd Covid-19 Lockdowns in Manchester.

I made a point of heading out each day with my camera to exercise and, like many other photographers, record a strange time in history. 

I have to say, the subjects were so repetitive that the apathy I felt looking through the first rolls of film I shot did little to spur me on. 

Streets of dog walkers, aimless gardeners, neighbours chatting over fences, conspiracy theory graffiti. 

The tone of my photographs changed as my family experienced the loss of a loved one. Lockdown only amplified the grief I felt. 

The rules of the crisis meant no human contact. No hugs, No distractions. 

I don’t look at these photographs and see a document of lockdown anymore, but impressions of a sad time with little escape. "
